How the guest seat works

Three steps, and one of them is typing an email address.

  1. Buy your ticket on the event page

    Checkout is where it always is. Nothing new to learn.

  2. Add a friend's email at checkout

    One field. That is the entire ask.

  3. They claim the free seat themselves

    We send them a link. They register in their own name and turn up.

About your friend's email

We use it once, to send them their ticket. They are not on our list unless they tick the box themselves when they register. That is not a policy we are quoting at you, it is just how the thing is built.

If you have never been

Somebody who actually knows the subject talks for a while, and then the room argues about it with a drink in hand. No art degree required. No vocabulary test at the door.

Most people turn up not knowing anyone and leave with a few they would happily grab dinner with. Which is roughly the point, and roughly why bringing someone works.
